Dr. Christoph Bode

Dr. Bode joined the law firm Partnerschaftsgesellschaft Treuhand Rechtsberatung Hochhäusler · Duwe & Partner in July 2007. He specialises in reorganisation, insolvency and banking law. He started his career in early 1996 in the legal department of Deutsche Bank AG. There he worked mainly in the areas of bankruptcy and collective bankruptcy proceedings law as well as collateral security law and legal issues of municipal finance. Dr. Bode moved to Oldenburgische Landesbank AG in February 1997. His responsibilities in the bank's central legal department particularly included the legal management of recapitalisations, insolvencies and syndicated financing arrangements. Between 1997 and 2007, Dr. Bode was lecturer for banking and capital market law at Carl von Ossietzky University, Oldenburg. In February 2077, he was awarded a doctorate in law (LL. D).

Dr. Bode is the author of numerous publications on insolvency and banking law. He also lectures on these subjects at Finanzcolloquium Heidelberg.

Dr. Bode strongly believes that skilful negotiations with the opposing party serve the clients' interests better than costly premature litigation.

Professional Qualifications

Dr Bode is a Doctor of Law and Partner of the law firm Treuhand Rechtsberatung Hochhäusler · Duwe & Partner. In 2008, Dr. Bode successfully completed the course in Specialist Law for Insolvency at the German Institute of Lawyers (Deutsches Anwaltsinstitut e.V.).
